These are absolutely fantastic. No better birria taco than these here, not just in Long Island City, but in the greater NYC area. They are very prompt and quick with service. There's not much to say about ambiance because it's a taco truck, but they get the job done quickly. Great job guys!
Easy and quick! Got three birria tacos with consume and everything was delicious and flavorful! I originally expected to dip the taco into the consume but realized the taco is not pressed together (since there's no cheese inside to hold it tight) and the texture was soft. So I couldn't do dip the taco, which is totally fine! The tacos themselves were juicy and didn't need consume to make them more juicy. The consume made a great second day meal with toasted bread at home. Would definitely come back again for my birria taco + consume craving.
Chinelos is a great taco truck parked near the waterfront at Gantry Park! Came for lunch at 1:30 on a Saturday, and there was no line. Birria tacos were amazing, and I really enjoyed the consome. Also tried the chicken quesadilla, which was good, but the Birria is the move here. 4.5 stars.

Food: Steak burrito ($12) is delicious. Their green spicy sauce is very spicy and so bomb. Service: Get your food very quick. It's a food truck located right by gantry plaza. New favorite burrito spot in LIC
Ordered: Birria Quesadilla (~$15): flour tortilla with birria beef and cheese with lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled cabbage, and green salsa on the side Aya's take: We were walking around LIC looking for a bite to eat that would hit the spot. Our search results brought us to Chinelos and I'm glad it did! Our order took 5-10 minutes to prepare, we grabbed a nearby table at the park, and began digging in. The Birria Quesadilla is an ultimate comfort/cheat meal. It's greasy, fatty, and super tasty. I'm glad they included the veggies and salsa on the side to cut through some of the heaviness from the quesadilla. The portion was great and can honestly be shared among 2 people. My only complaint is the quesadilla got soggy very quickly; as I mentioned, we immediately sat down to eat it so this happened within a span of 5-10 minutes. I would've liked the quesadilla to be a lot crispier or use a container than doesn't retain moisture as much. Nonetheless, this hit the spot! Definitely stop by if you see the truck in LIC.
